Hazardous waste fuel blending facilities at cement plants are frequently similar in basic configuration to this one. There are three 40,000 gallon blending tanks for receiving bulk tankers from off-site. Directly adjacent to the blending tanks is a fully contained truck bay and a laboratory for testing each shipment of fuel as it arrives. Once a blend tank is full it is sampled and tested again to insure the final blend meets all specifications for use as fuel. It is then transferred to a larger, 150,000 gallon tank which is utilized to provide the consistent quality fuel on a continuous basis to the kiln.>
