Dioxin Emissions Data Evaluation
PC MACT compliance deadlines are approaching. Many plants have prior dioxin (PCDD/PCDF) emission data that they are relying on as a demonstration that they can comply with the dioxin limits which are part of the PC MACT rule. Yet, historically about 30% of all dioxin test data at cement kilns has been found to have significant quality control problems. Can you be sure your plant can comply with the dioxin standard? Can you afford to wait not knowing? Can you afford the costs associated with a 6-month EPA enforced kiln shutdown to install additional emission controls to comply with the dioxin PC MACT standard?
For typically less than $1,000* Gossman Consulting, Inc. can review past dioxin stack test data to check the quality of the sampling, lab work and calculations. We have performed this service for numerous cement plans and did the original quality control review of dioxin data for the Portland Cement Association emissions database.

*For $500 Gossman Consulting, Inc. can review a single test of 3 runs.
