EPA has been granted a 1-31-95 extension for making a final determination on whether or not to lift the CKD Bevill exemption. Official public notification has not yet appeared in the Federal Register. Depending upon which rumor one chooses to believe, EPA is either requesting more time to evaluate the almost 1,000 written CKD comments; or EPA is actually planning to include environmental racism/environmental justice issues in the final decision and is just using the high number of comments as an excuse for more time.
